Im far more comfortable with wallpapers than drawing right now(Im hoping one day to get a wacom and improve the process a bit, but there's still alot of practice to be done). And so we have this.
The logo itself is a very high-rez copy of the original NGE NERV logo downloaded from [link] The text itself I made in Illustrator..well, typed and warped into proper shape, it took me a bit to find a proper font, I forget off-hand which one specifically matches the NERV text.
From there it was lots of photomanip, some brushes and about 7 hours to get it working right.
Its done in honor of a fanfic(try not to flee in terror) by the name of NGE: Nobody Dies. Located here, [link] I located it through tvtropes, which I will not link to Basically its NGE reconstructed as a Super Robot show via the simple change, initially, of Yui Ikari deciding not to do the contact experiment. From there it gets..weird. But very funny and usually well-written. The phrase 'God's in his heaven, he's scared of our superior firepower' was stated by Yui herself upon Unit 01 grabbing a HUGE triple-barreled gun from the Armory and nuking an Angel with it.
Honestly, the phrase pretty much sums up my viewpoints towards firepower very well
Comments welcome, constructive criticism as well(I know the 'God' part is slightly wonky, I got tired after 40min of trying to adjust that one part. Sue me).
Also: I have a very large folder of brushes acquired off of the net; many from deviantart. Ive *not* kept track of the makers. If you see something you created used here and wish credit, just let me know. They're all meant for free use but I know many people like to see what their work has been used for.
OH MY GOD THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS. I'm really glad this one exists. That quote will always get me. I want to make a shirt with the "Nobody Dies" thoeretical NERV logo.
Heh, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've been tempted to re-open an old online t-shirt store just to make a suitably-modified version of this for a shirt. Doubt I'd get away with it though.
